Holiday Explanation Writing

The Holidays.The best time of the term, A two week period where we do not attend school. For family fun and for Rest and Relaxation. Its for fun times and happy days, Well it was all fun and games till Sunday the 5th around 2 in the morning the power collapsed. It was quite spooky as I was still awake during that power out.

But before this happened I spent alot of time playing games with my friends. Sometimes with my friends that were over my house and we would play alot of games on my Xbox / Computer, But sometimes with my friends that I play with online. Games I really enjoyed playing were Fifa 15, GTA 5, Cs:Go, TF2 And Borderlands 2.

I cooked alot of food as well, not just for me but for alot of the people who were in my house as well. I used a Grill / Barbecue to cook alot of the food that myself and my friends / family ate for dinner / lunch / breakfast. I also had to go down to pak n save alot, I was driven in my car by my Aunt / Dad down there to get some food to cook. This would normally involve but would not be limited to, Bacon, Eggs, Steak, Mince, Sausages, Spaghetti, Burger Patties, Bread (To Toast) And Beans. We would also boil water on the BBQ to make coffee or Milo’s, Sometimes hot tea as well.

I went to the movies only once but when I went there with my friend and a caregiver. We went to see the Maze Runner, it was a movie that I had never seen before and I really enjoyed that experience. We had made it to Sylvia park using our house car or our business van. When we got there we were going to buy Popcorn, Ice creams and Sodas but there was a power out the day before and the ice creams all melted. This did not matter as before the movies we brought some lunch, Butter chicken with rice, Naan bread and a Drink, I got a coke while my friend got a L&P. Since we parked near the food court we had a small walk over to the movie theater, Maybe 3 - 5 minutes

During the holidays the things I really enjoyed were Going to the movies, Playing with my friends and Cooking for my friends and Family.

Letter to constable Geoff

At Glenbrae school we had a lot of guest speakers come to our school and I made one for our local police officer, Constable Geoff

Dear Constable Geoff

My Name is Jerome. I am writing to say thank you for talking to us about your story and how you got into the police force. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to come to our school and having such a positive attitude considering we did not have the best behaviour.

I found it really interesting when you talked about how you did lots of running and how you never gave up because you had a goal set and you wanted to achieve it no matter what. I learned that you didn’t initially like cops but that all changed and we all appreciate your honesty.

I would like to know how you met Andrew? What kept you going on your journey? Why did you ever decide to join the police force? We really appreciate you giving your time to come to our school and talk to us.

Powhiri Recount

On thursday the 7th around last week we had alot of very important people come to our school, Some of these include Len brown and Nick smith along with the board of trusties. During the powhiri we sung to these people and and greeted them to our school, They where talking about the changes around our area in laybourn circle and how people are being moved around. They also promised that the houses that would come in would make our community 100x better. After that they did the sod turn, Len brown and Nick smith did this while some one blessed the ground that they dug the dirt out of. This was all because we are making a early childhood centre, There were protesters trying to ruin what we had going on that day but that didnt work, After all was done and the Powhiri was over they went to the new scout hall with the school leaders and I cant go any further past that as I didnt go.

Tf2 is a game which is based on skill and team work. This game is by far one of my favourite games in all existence with the exception that it has gone free to play. The reason this game is one of my favourite is because of the cartoony play style and the choice of weaponry. Now there will be some people who make jokes about the game because it has "Virtual hats"which sell for a butt load for some odd reason. But that is completely beside the point, now lets talk about some of the classes.

First off we have the scout. Now the scout is a very odd class but he is a very important one aswell, just because of the fact that he is so fast!. Now don't get me wrong but he also has one of the strongest weapons in the entire game. If you get 2 clean meat shots onto somebody then they are toast and you better watch out because you wont see em coming.

And then we have the Pyro. One of the most beast classes in the game just because of the spy and sniper hated flame thrower which has one of the most deadliest weapons in the entire game!!. The only reason this weapon is so lethal is because of its devastating after burn damage which lasts for 5 seconds.

Next we have the Sniper, He is know for his amazing sniper skills and his charming Australian accent. He is a really big menace to heavys and soliders as long as they aint right up next to you. The sniper is a class that requires quite a bit of skill and people tend to spend alot of time trying to master the arts of the sniper.

Next we have the soldier, He is not one to mess with just because he has a rocket launcher that when fully crited can do up to 270dmg. Now thats alot of damage, He is also know for

Badminton recount

Every Tuesday our class has badminton lessons from a coach named Robbie. My favourite part in badminton was learning all of the techniques while playing, like learning how to adjust our arm in a way to actually help the player in hit strength and speed. For me there was no “ least favourite part” I found everything really enjoyable and great. But there was something I found very interesting, I found that a shuttlecock ( Aka the ball/ Object used for play ) is better and has more agility if it is made out of feathers and a rubber end. With some professional players they can actually hit the shuttlecock up to 260km an hour and that is extremely fast.

This week was out very last session and I really didn't want it to be so. But sadly its true. I really enjoyed badminton and how you play it and I would recommend it to everyone and anyone to play. Another one of my favourite parts was working with my friend in the final tournament and not exactly winning every single game but having a lot of fun while playing.
