I think these are the ones we used to call 'Jumping Jacks'. They used to go bang, bang, bang very quickly and jump around on the ground as if they were chasing you. As you say...'little, but dangerous'. The boys used to throw them at us. BUT, that was in the olden days. Boys are MUCH more sensible now!!
